How this is Used: After giving any background information appropriate for your class, show the DVD. Then hold a discussion defining "stereotype." Ask students what the Native children in the DVD identified as stereotypes about Native Americans that they found wrong and hurtful. You may wish to extend the discussion by talking about other common stereotypes people have and why these are incorrect as well as hurtful. (A more detailed lesson plan and other useful resources are attached.)
